Hi there friends. So, I want to buy a fully-rugged laptop, but they are very expensive. I can afford a Dell refurbished one, but it has a Core2Duo processor instead of an i5 or i7. Should I buy it? Thanks for any advice!

Honestly, just word processing, some pictures, and some PowerPoint. Also internet. Games would be nice, but I do not expect it to really be a gaming machine. I really need it for its ruggedness in my travels.

I'd say your fine with the Core2Duo. I would rather get something with the i5 since they're becoming more popular.

Yeah, that is my concern. But the refurbished ones with Core2Duo are really good values. Hmm. Ok thanks for the advice!

No problem. Also, the i5 would probably be better at handling some games.
