Topic: What the fuck is wrong with you MS fanboys?
Anonymous A started this discussion 14 years ago#18,292
I mean honestly.
Now don't get me wrong. I hate all fanboys for their pathetic detachment from reality. But MS fanboys have got to be the worst if only because they are the most delusional.
MS is losing, HARD! Balmer is an autistic moron. He's literally gonna run what's left of that company into the ground. It's his destiny. There hasn't been a decent product to come out of MS since XP. People only imagine Win 7 is good cause it's better than that pile of shit Vista. But still, it's no XP.
How can so many smart people not see that MS is on the decline? It blows my mind.

Not me. If it's good, I'll upgrade. If not, I'll just stick to 7 and wait for the next one.
Honestly, I don't see why people get mad over operating systems. Each to their own.

It's because operating systems are important. You'd get that if you were intelligent enough to understand the importance of automation in modern society.

I tried to dump MS years ago and transition to linux. I tried a couple of distros. It was pretty neat.
Too bad i need my computer to be useful. Otherwise it's a fun to play around with neckbeard toy. It was fun sniffing packets and cracking wep keys back in the day, but that's not much of a game.

Maybe people just have different views in what constitutes a useful computer?

Reality. You can check it if you know how to use Google.
In fairness, the supercomputer should read : 98% of the top 100 supercomputers. But honestly, the "supercomputer" classification is a relative concept anyhow. Any computer not in the top 100 could hardly be considered super.

Yes, OS developers have for years been under the impression they know best what will be useful to me.
Go back to MS lemming.

The customer is always right. The end user decides what is useful to him/her. @305,193 (squeegee !hbZVTk6JYc)
Squeegee has the right idea. It's the developers job to make software that is intuitive and useful to the user. If you think developers get to tell users what is useful you should change your name to Kimmo.

That's not how the world works. People who understand a mechanism make decisions for those who don't all the time.

No, users provide the demand in the market, and developers who understand the machanisms use those mechanisms as tools to provide the users with what they want. That is how the world works. If you think otherwise then you really are an autistic shithead who doesn't understand how the world works. The customer is always right.

That's classical economic thinking, and while it certainly holds true for commodities markets, it's not really aplicable to creative markets due to the high occurance of market externalities.
Creative products can and do create their own demand all the time. Nobody "demanded" Coca-Cola, a Star Wars DVD, or a facebook account before these things existed. Software is a creation, not a commodity. The biggest innovations in software have always been things users DID NOT realize they needed until after they were invented.

Which is fine, but "you don't needs X." is not the same as, "maybe X will be useful." giveth, but do not taketh away.
E.g. Desktop in win 8. Basically they are saying, "you don't need it and won't want it, but here's an app to emulate it so you won't cry about it."
