Yes, glass melts, but not at stove top temperatures. I'd be more worried about the chemical coating on the screen than the glass itself. Probably a soft cloth will be sufficient for cleaning it. Oiling it won't to any good (it has no moving part.)

I don't know, but rubbing hot oil on a man during a massage will melt his inhibitions. The'll usually let you give them a hand job after.
