I went to Brazil with a Vietnamese friend of mine. He attracted the attention of prostitues at several night clubs. Indeed it was as if they believed him to be a good customer simply from his appearance.
Is there some kind of belief among prostitues that Asian men are lonely? That they have money saved up? That there aren't enough women to go around in Asian cultures? What is is?

Brazil has a very large Japanese minority population whose existence dates back to the 30's of the last century.
While highly calculating and extremely demanding, Asians are ultimately rather pleasant business partners, so it stands to reason streetworkers would prefer them due to a lifetime of experience.
