I know that your taste in music is pretty expansive, or at least I think it is, so I'm requesting some artist/song suggestions/links. I realize it's pretty difficult to recommend music to others because every one has their own taste, but I trust that you have some good shit to share hidden away somewhere. Even a couple links would do, because then I can just discover similar artists based off of that. Of course anyone else is welcome to post some of their own stuff, but I request that you don't post any dubstep, techno, electronica, dancy shit. Preferences: foreign indie, pop, hip hop, rap, etc etc, older gems, and just pop, GOOD hip hop, rap, indie, and alternative in general. Also please keep well known music to a minimum, I'm looking for stuff I've never heard before.
Here's to hoping this thread doesn't get completely ignored. Thanks in advance.
Picture unrelated, just something I capped from /r9k/ that I found hilarious. Dat illustration.

So does this mean you didn't get the new mobile?
@OP
I'll try to compile a working list. If anything comes to me later I'll see if I can put it here as well. Since this is aimed at me I'll also /sparingly/ use it to drop things I have had on my playlists recently. Since almost nobody ever clicks YouTube links in those music threads it should be an easy excuse.
I'll start with what I have with hip hop:
Capone N Noreaga (CNN) - The War Report is a great album. Their other stuff is good too. They broke up and NORE does some pretty good things... nothing really comes to mind but if you like this group you might like their solo stuff.
Inevitably I always come back to Wu and its members. If you have never heard the GZA Genius then you are missing out. Beneath The Surface and Liquid Swords are epics.
Since I'm still on the topic of Wu Tang, the Kid with the Golden Arms and his kin are all great to talk about, but I could go on forever. Here's some extra tracks that are pretty hammer:
If you've never listened to the Streets, then you've really missed out of the genius that is Mike Skinner. A Grand Don't Come For Free and Original Pirate Material are great albums. Too many links to post blablabla Blinded By The Lights.
I could talk about Wiz Khalifa, Birdman, and others. I like gangsta rap but I really need the proper mood for it. This is pretty aged (and its more horrorcore/graphic) but I liked it many years ago and it still stays on my lists.
People always talk shit on G Unit and I generally agree with those sentiments regarding 50 Cent and such (specially that Lloyd Banks acts like he's street yet went to a private school). The Game being in the same area but I do like this one even if it's a guilty pleasure as an older track:
I feel like I'm missing a few artists but that's pretty much it for what I have for hip-hop. I'll start with alternative/indie/experimental (these terms always seemed vague to me) next.

Holy hell man, thanks a ton. Didn't think I was going to get a response. Anyway, I'll look into each link individually tomorrow and provide feedback where it's due. Thanks again.

Opinions are always varied on these, but I'll post them anyway. Some of these are also electronic. I don't think I can make much comments on them but here we go:

No problem. I'm already feeling as though I am getting ahead of myself and trying to not post metal/rock/dancy stuff because that wasn't what you asked for. I'll try to keep it within the parameters you were looking for.

Oh I'm actually perfectly fine with rock and metal. Sorry for not being clear enough. Will give this all a look when I'm home later on today.

Dug the majority of the stuff you posted here, and most of it will be going onto my ipod. So far, I've listened to about 3/4ths of the music itt. Will continue on tomorrow. Thanks again.

Some of it is shit, sure. Thanks for listening anyway. Here's a new one in the hip hop genre I forgot:
