I was unscrewing a light switch and zapped myself. Of course it wasn't the full power of the mains supply or I would be hurt/dead, just a rather powerful jolt. So how did I get electrocuted without the full force? Don't get it.

Turning breaker off for that room isn't safe either, sometimes outlets and switches are wired to different breakers. It all goes off. Better safe than sorry.

Once I stuck a paring knife into an electrical socket and grabbed the handle. It tingled.

I have a desk lamp and the lightbulb socket's kinda loose. If I touch it right (or wrong, maybe), I get shocked a little.
