He was outside of a Sudanese Embassy and arrested "after accusing Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir of provoking a crisis and blocking food and aid from entering the Nuba Mountains in the county’s border region with South Sudan". He was arrested along with his father but was released from jail not long after the event.
