Topic: I suffer from visual snow.

I have always been a "geek", using a computer for at least ~6 hours a day since I finally got my own machine at age 13. I have spent the majority of my life in front of a computer screen. Anyway, I suffer from extremely bad visual snow, which seems to have got worse and worse since I was around 12 (when I first noticed it). Obviously, there is no way for me to measure if it has gotten worse or not.
For the last 3 years, I have explained the problem to an optician testing my eyes. He found nothing wrong with them each time. This is almost terrifying to me. I find it very difficult to read text (long posts on Minichan for instance), and it's hard to see anything in low light. I do not have the ability to see solid colour (because everything is covered in moving static).
What the fuck am I supposed to do?! Is this going to leave me blind? Are there any people who have struggled with this for longer than me out there? Can I improve my vision? Is there any actual treatment which I can acquire (in the UK)?
