It's totally awesome. I'd figure developers might not like it since it's proprietary source, but that hasn't stopped them from shitting out one useless iPad app after another.
I gotta think the hate comes down to Metro. There's just something not right about those big square buttons on a phone.

It will come preinstaled on all new PC's, same as every other MS product. So it will sell millions of copies by default and appear to be a success whether or not people actually like product.
