Topic: I'm having second thoughts about buying a cheap IKEA chair.

I hear the lower models are built in third/second world nations and are of low quality. Should I just go with a different brand instead, or save up to buy a higher-end IKEA office chair?

Not sure how to answer.
Anyway, IKEA stuff is mostly like... they last a season, and then you throw them out and get new stuff.

I'm going to play devil's advocate.
How about choosing a chair on it's own merits rather than obsessing over where it's built?

I'll probably buy a different-brand chair now and buy a genuine IKEA chair later.

So IKEA isn't like Volvo? That sucks... But the expensive stuff are good, right?

High end stuff is great from them... but let's say you buy a cheap sofa for your living room, you'll probably end up dumping it and getting a new one next year...

Okay. I'll just get it from somewhere else for now.
