Topic: Apple introduces new iPad

Apart from the screen resolution it's still a POS. But 2048x1536 pixels is impressive.

That resolution is genuinely impressive. I see Apple maintaining their tablet market share, unless the other tablet manufacturers can match that display quality or undercut the iPad on price.

It's important to protect your investment with an extended warranty. Apple will only cover you for one year, and then only for manufacturer defects. Make sure to purchase a two (or three) year extended warranty from a reputable electronics retailer.

Plus, when you sell your iPad, an extended warranty will add resale value, because the purchaser will have the peace of mind that comes with having an assurance that their product will continue to perform like new for years to come.

Hopefully, their heavy influence on OEMs will mean cheap, widespreade high-resolution displays.

AT&T and Verizon still charge about $10 per gigabyte for bandwidth so it's worthless.

I see Amazon destroying Apple's tablet market share. When it comes out, the 10.1 Kindle will outsell all others. Just you wait.

The crummy 7 inch Kindle is already the fastest web browsing appliance there is and it's insanely cheap for what you get. Apple is fucked.

Lets say the 10.1 Kindle Fire is priced at $300 or maybe even $250. It will cost 60% as much as the new iPad, but it will have 1/4th the screen resolution, a slower processor, be thicker, heavier, etc. Plus, fewer apps. It may be cheaper, but it won't be a better value.

how many people actually care about the processor or screen resolution? The new Ipad is a bit thicker than the previous one by the way.

Everyone I know with an iPad got theirs free one way or another. Either that be from work, giveaway, or someway else.
