One full-time vegetarian and I've been around vegans. Most weren't that militant, just annoyingly self-righteous. I went vegetarian for a few months to lose some weight and to get a bit more creative in the kitchen. I really only eat chicken or fish 2-3x a week now but it's for health reasons not politics.

Kind of. I know a guy who eats fish but not meat. He's not militant or anything.

I have a few vegetarian friends, and one friend who's vegan. She's really skinny, pale, always shaking and looks very unhealthy. She's not militant or dogmatic, and unless we're having food the topic rarely comes up.
