So you plug it onto that obscure dock that connects to a TV/Monitor and run Ubuntu (not on top of Android but separated from it) using the phones Hardware?
I wish it was just Ubuntu on the phone, running instead of Android as the main OS (unlike all the GNU/Linux running ontop of it in a VM)... but well, seems interesting...

You can run a chrooted Linux on your android phone already and use VNC to login on the phone itself, or from any computah. It's fun to have a full OS hidden.

Yeah, but this way you can run Android apps in a special window on Ubuntu without emulation. I think this is necessary given that Android is getting more attention from developers.
