The night was amazing. The wine was exquisite, perfectly aged, and served perfectly. We stood until my legs couldn't support me anymore, mostly from alcohol, but also from the hours of awful standing, dancing, the awkward moments when I try to slip away to refill my glass. Around 9, I was in an alcohol-fueled burst of energy. The dancing (which was honestly already awful) just got worse and worse, until I finally felt the world slip away. She ran up to me, catching me as I fell into my drunken stupor, and as the world darkened, I lazily whispered "First.", and the world was no more, until I would wake up in the morning, hungover as always.
