Why not use the time you spend gaming getting into shape? You can get one of those cheap mobile exercise peddlers and 10 lb leg weights off eBay for under $50. It's your choice, but you'll feel a lot better about yourself at the end of the day if you know you've accomplished something tangible.

It tends to be a turn off. At least in my experience. Everything will be just fine with a girl until she discovers that I play a lot of the vidya. Primarily in my case it was WoW.
