It annoys me to death when they throw in scenes into movies that are just "whatthefuckamiwatching" but are totally showing off the 3D tech while the rest of the film is shit 3D wise.

As a kid I watched 3D documentaries (underwater world, hubble space mission, wildlife, life under the microscope etc....) in the Sinsheim tech museum in Germany. They really made use of the 3D tech, it was amazing. It was like I was under water... or in space... shit was cash!

Studios are promoting 3d because they believe if they can hook consumers onto it, it'll draw people into the theaters. Funny thing is it seems to have to opposite effect. Knowing a movie's in 3d tells me "don't bother, just wait for the DVD."

I saw Avatar is 3D, and it was kinda cool. Not something I'd go out of my way to see though.

Yep. It's not too bad, though. You forget about them once you start watching the film.

I wish, but the cinema wanted their glasses back, the faggots.
