Activity seems high, lots of posts and replies but after watching the /folks pages for a while it becomes clear that these other sites have less than 10 users online. Yet loads of posts are appearing. This leads me to conclude that most posts and topics are made by the site admins and mods rather than genuine different users.

And this is why Minichan will always be a bit better than the rest, we have genuine posts made by genuine posters.

Image went missingOne of the sites I lurk has around 600 users online at any given time, but new threads are made at about the same pace as when we're fairly active. For an obscure BBS with a handful of regulars we do considerably well.
