Depends on a lot. In general, I try to minimize lying because if you're not careful you can get yourself tied up into a web of lies, but sometimes it's impossible to avoid doing.

I usually lie to my parents about how much I eat. They get all nervous if I don't eat at least 3 times a day so I say I eat more than I usually do. I may have sort of handed an assignment in late but gotten full credit for it also on a few occasions. Nothing too serious though.
