They should focus on other things in life, like having fun, instead of trying to drastically change the way they are biologically. Or perhaps they, the family, could try fixing the problems instead of the symptoms. If a kid has thoughts of gender-changing at the age of 8, then there is something wrong they need to fix, and that isn't the fact that he's a boy.
