First, I am going to drop tons of weight here. I walk several miles at least each day, and I can eat just once a day, small portions, and feel satisfied. I am not sure it is because of the walking or the cuisine. Anyway, today I had a traditional hot pot type of meal. It is a boiling, divided pot with two broths: one mild,p but flavorful and delicate; the other, red and very spicy hot. You then order any number of raw meats and vegetables, and you cook them by putting them into the broth of your choice. You can also choose a sauce to use on your plate to put on the stuff. I chose the hottest, red, chili sauce they had. I felt like my mouth was melting off, but it was delicious!! Quite an experience. I got soup, three courses, a tea, and a very good, large beer, for about US$7.00

You mentioned eating once per day, but what time of day do you eat? I don't think I could stand eating once per day.

Usually lunch or afternoon. But today I might go get a bowl of noodles later or something. The food is so inexpensive that I can eat like a king whenever I want!

P.S. The food that I chose for my hot pot was sheep's rib meat, beef rib meat, and lotus root.
