You cannot drink tap water, so you have to keep a steady supply of bottled water. Sometimes I forget, and I get so thirsty that I feel like I am dying.

They might, but I have not found one yet. I do plan to get one though eventually. Also, you can boil the tap water first, but it tastes terrible.

lol I boil it, then put it in the refrigerator, but it takes an hour to cool. I just need to buy huge bottles of water and horde them.

One good thing is that there are a number of wine shops very close to my apartment! I can get a quite decent bottle of Chinese or French wine, for about the equivalent of $3 - $5. The upper end bottles of Great Wall brand are actually not bad at all. and the merchants seem so thrilled that a Westerner is buying wine. They get all excited! lol it is cute

Indeed! I think the most I have spent for any meal (including beer and several dishes/courses), is about $10, and that was splurging.
