It's starting to be less competitive with the other options. Firefox started a lot of trends, but nowadays most decent browsers have the good stuff by default. I used Firefox since 1. something, but I don't even have it installed atm, Chrome is simple and effective enough. Firefox still remains the best option IMO for a few things simply because of the add-on options.

It was good, then started sucking and is now slowly climbing back to good based on performance. I dislike the new interface, personally.

It's gotten slower and I've had more and more problems with it ever since 3.6.
I've since switched to Chrome.

its slower, but chrome/chromium/iron/etc can't do technical stuff, so its more of a mass downloader/script kiddie thing than a casual browser

I refused to leave 3.6 for a long time.
I'm still using FF because of some of the configuration flexibility and add-ons, but every new update is just painful: No noticeable improvement in performance, but it breaks half your add-ons -- which fucking sucks if that's the only reason you are still using FF anyway.

Mine's tuned perfectly for me and is just tons more convenient. I can handle an extra tenth of a second on load times.

Firefox was always shit and now that chrome has past it out in market share it will only get shittier.
Google has way too much money to throw at Chrome, something which Mozilla hasn't.
