My friend and I are starting this new company. One of the ingredients we need to complete our product is a sticky biodegradable clear solution. We are pouring this liquid onto something and sticking a course material to it. I know this sounds lame, but i cant give away the product at this point. We were trying to stick away from sugars, as this can lead to pests. Any /chemists online? Someone please list some clear biodegradable solutions... And dont say cum.

Most white glues dry clear. Buy or make an adhesive solution with egg whites perhaps? Scrapbooking and papercraft forums mention several adhesives (Crystal Effects and Diamond Glaze) that might work for you. They are both water soluble, so I assume they break down pretty easily. But you might have to call the companies to see if the ingredients are biodegradable.

Glue is also another option we had. (make your own mixture).

Why don't you use the sticky as hell resin from some trees. If I remember well, when you scraped a cherry trees crust (is it called crust on a tree?) the resin that came out made my hands sticky and it was hard to get off.
