Talked with people that graduated 10+ years from the college I'm atm. on, even they are mad at what college became.
They rather hire carpenters with experience in electronics to work for them than straight A students with a masters in that field.
It's just sad and retarded, when I enter the lab, everything is ready and connected, I just need to turn on the equipment and read numbers from the display. They teach us fuck about how and why it works. But the lab attendance accounts for 15% of my grade. All I need to do is be there from 8 to 10 on mondays and I got 15% of the points needed to pass. 10% more from homework, 5% more from attending regular classes... I just need 20% more from exams and I passed.
It's retarded and it makes me sad... they put the blame on "Hurr durr you're studying CS" but we're in the "Digital electronics 2" class with EE folks...

Educational instutions are evolving into rubber stamp organizatons. They've created a shared cultural delusion where a college degree thought of as necessary for middle-class earning potential, so now they charge whaterver the fuck they want.
