Nah, that would be overcomplicating things.
I don't see why Valve would have an ending that appears to have her escaping only to turn around and say it was just symbolic.

It isn't established how long Chell is out for but those two robots wake her up so it may be after they give her control over the entire facility in the co-op mode.

OP, I've decided that the ending is in fact symbolic of Chell simply being released by GlaDOS into the wild.
