You get disability allowance because you're unable to work (due to mental/physical reasons), not because you're unemployable.

In the UK you can claim Disability Living Allowance (DLA) if you have a condition that affects your daily life. It's possible those who suffer from Tourette's syndrome or bipolar disorder could be entitled to it.

The point is they can work, stop assuming they can't because they can.
If you start giving them benefits because you think they can't work, they are going to stop working.
The point I'm making is that you think you are in a position to say they are eligible for benefits, when you're not.
There a people with tourette syndrome out they who have a paying job and don't need benefits.

I know Chris-chan gets disability for his autism, despite having held a job in the past and having an associate's certificate. He did not even have a doctor or psychologist sign him off, meaning that the threshold to be paid not to work is lower than the threshold required to miss work or school for a day.
