As much as I'd like to think that the human race will better itself over time I'm worried that we may have passed our peek already.
There has been so much progression over the previous generations, and so little in this one. Just look at the entertainment industry for one, all you need to do is compare today's popular artists to the artists popular ~50-70 years ago.

Technology wise, we're both, progressing, and not really making any progres.
For example, cars... sure are progressing, better fuel economy, faster, lighter... etc. etc... but it still does the same thing as it did 100 years ago...
And that's true for everything, there hasn't been much innovation and real progress, we're just getting better and more economic at what we already can do, kinda sad...
Technology wise, we're both, progressing, and not really making any progres.

There isn't and has never been constant radical progress. There will be another epoch-change, paradigm shift or whatever soon, but it will take time. I personally think mobile internet is a big deal that has changed a lot of people's social lives, and journalism etc. I have already commented that morally we seem to be less advanced than we are technologically.

There isn't and has never been constant radical progress. There will be another epoch-change, paradigm shift or whatever soon, but it will take time. Can any of the innovations you list here @280,074 (TheSheep !kJ.A4PF7.k) really be said to have had an effect on the life of the common person 12 years down the road from their conception? Most of these ideas had been kicking around for decades and had to be improved upon again and again before they became commonplace.
