If they're sincerely trying to build re-build trust with you.
Not to further along their own social goals, but because it's the right thing to do. Is that the case here?

Everybody I've really gone so far as to say I hated them has never tried to change, so no. For example, Nick Griffin has never stopped being an insufferable twat every time he opens his mouth and is still, to this day, shitting up politics.
