What is the ultimate question of the universe?
You could either say I guess that it is what brought the universe into creation or from where does matter-energy originate. I think the former is perhaps more of a general form of the latter, or may not be necessary, so I think the ultimate question for me is: If matter-energy can't be created or destroyed, how did it originate?
I think there is an important distinction: there is (rest) mass and there is matter/energy. Matter/energy would be more easily simply summed up as energy, but through mass/energy equivalence also has mass properties. That is, kinetic energy also has relativistic mass, but is not (rest) mass.
Leaving aside rest mass for the time being, what is this matter/energy? It's velocity. This is the matter/energy that can't be created or destroyed. In fact, this matter/energy can't be converted into rest mass under present thinking, so it can't be transformed either (although rest mass can be converted into energy through anti-matter annihilations).
So wouldn't a kitty detective then ask: What else moves that is not energy? And can this help answer the question.
And surprise: there is something that can move without energy, and I think it will answer the question! It is the expansion of space. It does not obey the Lorentz factor of relativity, so exists outside of matter/energy equivalence; things moving under it do not possess momentum, nor do they time dilate, nor do they have relativistic mass.
I think this expansion will explain the origins of matter/energy.
How? Who knows, but it's there damn it! And I have an idea.

The idea is that photons don't move! Rather, photons are standstill in some slightly abstract sense. What powers their movement isn't inherent velocity with photons, it's space expansion. Only this expansion obeys the same velocity behavior as any other: It only happens 1-dimensionally. And this means that ultimately it is invisible to anything but something that traveled in an infinitely straight line. Space expansion behind it is essentially concealed.
I say 'slightly abstract' for this reason.
Imagine a straight line on earth from point A to point B. Now remove everything else in the universe so there is no gravitational tugging of the planet and the earth is totally still. Beam light from point A to point B in an infinitely straight line to that line. To this logic, you could see space increase behind the photon. The distance between point A to point B not only increases, but the photon remains still--not actually moving. For it to move, the distance between it and point B would need to shrink. And I believe this 'shrinkage' would occur to fit the constancy of light.
Accelerate the planet in a direction downwards. This line point A to point B moves southwards. To beam light from point A to point B... for the purposes here of not thinking about extraordinarily long distances we will shrink the velocity of light to an incredibly small velocity, let's say 1 metre per second and the distance from point A to point B is a straight line of 1 kilometre. Now because it would take 1000 seconds to reach it's target, the southwards velocity of the planet becomes a significant factor. The faster southwards it moves, the more of an angle the beam needs to be shot at to reach where point B will be where it is predicted to be based on the momentum of the planet. This angle is a longer path. Yet, the line on earth still measures 1 kilometre, and light must travel from point A to point B at the speed of light, here 1 metre per second. So effectively light shrinks this extra distance it needs to travel on an angle to retain it's constant velocity, accommodating the velocity of the planet.
In addition, because the straight line that light is traveling at is now angled it does not correlate with the line from point A to point B, and because spatial expansion is 1 dimensional along this line, if anything can be observed from point A to point B is absolutely nothing in terms of spatial expansion, but also possible a point like object moving as the two angles intersect and travel through one another, possibly with this shrinking effect also being a factor.
I believe relativity works this way. For instance, I believe the universe is tearing itself apart at the maximum velocity in every point of space. Just relativity bundles this expansion velocity and conceals it because it is 1 dimensional and as soon as there is movement in another dimension it becomes concealed.

I also believe that angles become more precise over distance. Eg. the earths southward velocity would be absolutely miniscule as detected from a few billion light years away due to angular diameter and perhaps this reveals (unbundles) more of the expansion velocity relative to the cat?
Also, there is another thing that is blatantly obvious to me: It is a myth that matter is converted into energy in nuclear reactions. Matter is unanimously accepted as rest mass, and the rest mass that makes up an atom is unchanged after a nuclear reaction, only the electrons, protons and neutrons are scattered. The energy from the explosion is simply the conversion of bundled energy to explosive energy.
Therefore, it's funny to me that the one phenomena that can convert rest mass to energy is electromagnetic: matter/anti-matter annihilations. Furthermore, it says to me that rest mass has such origins. Of course, relativity is a theory of gravity, not electromagneticism. Attempts were made to explain electromagneticism as higher dimensional relativity (5 dimensional spacetime), which eventually became string theory. But to me, there is something basic being missed in the way rest mass is not explained relativistically: relativity explains mass increase with velocity, but not mass as it exists in a rest state. And that this is tied in with its reconciliation with electromagneticism.
EDIT: Regarding the 'shrinking' effect, I now like to think of it as a variable velocity effect. So long as the southwards motion is less than light speed, the velocity on the angle that light travels can be anything faster than light, just so long as that makes it always light speed constancy between the point A and point B. But the fact that if this were remotely correct that light would be powered by expansion, there must be a shrinking effect in the other direction to cause it to be a motion.

Have you taken into account that a four-corner square rotating 1/4 turn creates a full circle? Your theory fails to account for how the southward movement of the planet creates 16 corners, 96 hours, and 4 simultaneous 24 hour Day circles within only a single imaginary cubed Earth rotation.
