new vegas because it has more content and really it just improved everything from fo3. really the only reason to like fo3 better is because it has a more traditional storyline to the fallout series or if you really like the location.

I'm going to say Vegas. It had more features, the world felt more interesting and the weapons were done much better.

I also liked how you could actually pick which faction you want to support. A lot of RPGs fall into the trap of having the story rely on the player working with the good guys, even if they're playing an evil character.

In 3 you could go with Enclave at the end

Fair point. Still, that was a last-minute thing, you still had to help the good guys for most of the game. Vegas is much more open about that sort of thing. You're never forced to work for/alongside anyone you don't want to.

Yeah, I really liked that. 3 was a little too judgemental with the karma sometimes.

Fallout 3 looked like it was set 3 years after the bombs fell, not 200. NV is more realistic.

For some reason, I found myself getting more into New Vegas than I am 3 currently.

I'm still near the beginning of the game and getting my ass kicked by god damn mutants at level 2 or 3.

This is on Fallout 3 by the way.
