Still debating on how to format the results, I was thinking of not going back to the two tables, but instead do something like the example shown at http://minichan.org/search2.php (Topic chosen because it was the longest headline on the frontpage at the time), and then show about 50-100 of those and paginate.
The post would be matched based on their content, and match % of the headline of the topic they're in, after they're filtered to the other criteria.
