He said he failed those portions of his learning until he decided just to pretend to agree with it. Then, he told us to do the same.
I'm sorry, but I find it difficult to take seriously someone who teaches a science class yet denies science that interferes with his religion.
He also got talking about humanistic approaches to psychology, and began talking about how 'us people of faith kinda see it as evil (makes cross with his hands to shoo it away), since it teaches to worship man".
I found it quite annoying and ridiculous. Am I justified in this or am I caring too much?

Nah, I'd say you're justified. Being qualified in and teaching science but cutting out areas of study you don't like due to your own dogma is a contradiction.

I was shocked when I saw how this was going. I don't really care if a teacher mentions their religion, but I get angry when they start bringing it up in the lesson or trying to subtly push it on students.
We had a questionnaire talking about basics of psychology and we had to see which was true and which was false. He was all energetic in asking them out loud and everyone answered loudly until he got to the question of evolution playing an integral role in psychology. He asked in a very 'meh' way, and all I heard were grumbles from students. I piped up loudly with an energetic, "YES!" to make sure they didn't brush it past. I got some dirty looks.

Just deal with it. A grade is a grade. My philosophy professor was an orthodox Jew that claimed the basis of every argument came from the FACT that God existed. Still enjoyed the course overall.

UPDATE: He 'disproved' humanistic approach to psychology today by saying, "the humanist approach says children are born good, but kids are selfish and have to be taught to not be so it's wrong!".
He also keeps saying humanist views are just, "I'm okay, you're okay" and uses that in reference to killing sprees and shit with, "Well humanist views just say he's doing it because he feels he needs to so it's okay, as long as it's making him happy! There's no consequences in this view!"

There are a lot of good reasons to shy away from humanistic psychology, but it sounds like he has some axe to grind. Maybe he read something that pissed him off early on in his schooling or had a professor that just rubbed him the wrong way? Who knows? Who cares? I would, however, try to avoid doing a final paper or project on anything touching on existentialism or humanistic psychology. Just avoid it around him and get through the class. Hopefully, better instructors await you further along in your education.

When everyone agrees with what he's saying except for a few, it's difficult to get anything done. It's like teaching evolution in biology class: No one there agrees with that, so it gets complained about. They thought it was evidence of Colossians 1:17 which says "He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." Of course they overlooked the fact laminin isn't actually cross shaped, and anyway their "cross" could easily be turned upside down and made into a sword or turned sideways and made into a gun. :D
