Nah. I think it would be really cool if we were visited by extraterrestrials, but most of the cases I've read about seem to rely almost exclusively on eyewitness testimony, with very little or no physical evidence (parts of the spaceship, non-grainy photographs/video, etc.) to corroborate it.

Its odd how aliens choose to only abduct rednecks. I think abductions would gain much more credibility if they were to abduct a scientist or something.

I read a book about a journalist who investigated it and attended a conference about it. I'm not going to jump to conclusions and assume that it must be aliens, but there's some sort of phenomenon at work here for these people to feel that they've been abducted by aliens. From what I read in the book, these people really do believe something odd has happened to them.

Fuck you, Helmet's legit. There are people that have night terrors without the helmet but for whatever unknown reason fail to have them with the helmet and belief in abduction. This is a tangible improvement in their condition. Quality sleep dials down the crazy in these people and everyone benefits.
There's absolutely no reason not to use this therapy when there is an objective therapeutic benefit in better quality sleep. People should be free to use these helmets in deliberate pursuit of this outcome without fear of prejudice.

No, it DOES prevent new abductions. There has only been one recorded failure.
However, it enrages aliens. It makes them kill pets. And some people just don't seem to have abduction problems. I am one of those people. So in the interests of protecting my pets, I am taking the risk of not wearing one, for now.
