Topic: Last night I found out my best friend was raped by his brother.
Handel !khEOdtKF56 started this discussion 15 years ago#15,769
I'm still in shock about it, I did't know what to say.
It was one of my other friends who told me.
I'm considering going to the police, but that would ruin his family forever.
What the fuck am I going to do?
@OP
That's fucked up, but I kind of suggest not doing anything besides talking to your friend about it. It's his life, not yours.

Agree, but I'd feel differently if there were kids still living with the brother in harm's way. Police can't do much with "I heard that...," but child service agencies generally can and have to investigate, at least where I live.

1.) look at the different agencies that could intervene
2.) do something about it, the brother deserves to rot in jail, and the parents should feel like shit for the rest of their lives

Mind your own business. If he wanted you to know he would've told you.
He probably thinks you'll go telling everyone...

He probably does think this but if he knew me at all he'd know I wouldn't do something so stupid.
I understand why he didn't tell me, but should he be allowed to suffer.
It's still very likely this could happen again.

Anonymously taunt his brother online until the guilt eats at him.

Yes, even if it were the end of your friendship, you can't let someone who is clearly traumatized make that decision. I'm sure the weight of the world is on his shoulders trying to contemplate the consequences of telling someone. ;__; sorry dear, these sorts of things are rarely easy.

I live in a small town if his brother was charged everyone would find out, he's had to leave town.
To make matters worse I work for his family...

Just butt the fuck out. Be a friend to your friend and leave the brother alone.

Lolol to4str, fuck off before I curb stomp the chav out of you.
@275,183 (Handel !khEOdtKF56)
Well that makes it even more complicated, but I doubt the law allows employees to be let go or reprimanded for reporting rape. The only way your mate is going to be able to move on is when those responsible can't control his life.

I don't think that's the same to4str we know lol since when did he leave his brother alone?

Blackmail the brother for some good loot.

It's not the fact I would get fired it's the fact that if I did report him I couldn't face going to work it would be hellish, for both me and my employer.

How is this even a question in your mind? You would lose your job, destroy a family and for what? Just don't fucking do it. Reporting him also doesn't guarantee he will be charged with a crime because his brother wouldn't necessarily want to make a statement. Think how humiliated your friend would be. It is not your place to report him, let karma do its thing.

I highly doubt he consented. He was emotionally and physically shaken telling my friend.
Besides, why would anyone willingly admit they had sex with a sibling?

Could you describe exactly what he did or was forced to do against his will maybe this would help me understand?

I agree that actions like this have to be punished.
However, the likelihood of reporting this incident to blow up without harming the people who deserve it in the slightest.

There are soo many factors that determine if this was morally OK. Was it anal, oral or something else? Did he go in balls deep? If it was anal, did he use lube, how big is his penis, how tight is the boys ass? Did he cum inside the boy or on him? Did he give him a reach around, or even a BJ? Did the "victim" ejaculate? Did he at any time consent? Was he coerced? Is the boy very feminine, was he acting (or dressing) provocatively? There is only so much teasing any man can take. I wish you wouldn't be so ambiguous.
