When I had a stressful day running errands all around, or hard day at work or hard day at the office (lolskatepark) I shower that day since I'm messy and sweaty at the end of such a day... since that occurs mostly every day, I end up showering daily...
Last couple of days were chill, so I showered every 2 days... hope it helps you put the puzzle together why people shower.

I generally feel unclean when I don't. Plus, my hair gets excessively greasy, Even when I sleep, oddly.
