orcs used to be basically the same thing as a goblin, i think lotr seperated them.

Orcs originate from Tolkien's work, though their racial attributes vary greatly between all the lores (brutal warmongerers vs proud warrior race being the main one). There's a fuckton of folklore for the other ones aging back throughout the ages.
