Topic: What makes the "manchild"?

I am still trying to figure this out.

What would you say makes a person a manchild? Is it a liking of video games, manga, certain movies and anime? Is it a lack of a job, a lack of a girlfriend, a lack of real goals in life? I'm trying to see if I'm one of those, more than just a NEET/hikikomori. I'm wanting to know if all my joking and not so joking "manchild swag" is for real or not.

I think that's why I use so many Conan pics. He's nearly an adult (high school - make of that what you want) who is shrunk to the size of a child. Hmmm...it fits doesn't it?

It has to do with one nick having more use than the other.

I have used Conan Edogawa as a nick and have a facebook for Conan along with Negi. The reason is because...well...there really isn't one yet. I'll think one up soon though.

I consider it more a lack of responsibility or goals than a particular life situation or hobbies. I don't really care if people play video games or live with their parents for a long period of time, but having no responsibility or plan to change it for a really long period of time gets to be a little sad at some point.

It's just an overall mentality. You can be a mature adult and still like things from your childhood without being a manchild. Ultimately it is your behavior not your hobbies/interests.
