I was merging and half way in the lane while she was still stopped. She looked right at me and stepped on the gas. I lol'd hysterically after because while I was speeding away, I saw her front bumper was fucked, while my plastic Saturn just had marks. Easily able to buff that shit out. My mom was in front of me as I was following her, and I lol'd. I called her, she was trippin' so hard. Also, thank you Waze as somebody just tagged spotted a police down the road seconds after this happened. We'll make this hit and run number nine.

If there is not enough proof of a crime, the subject is innocent. For example, murder. If they can't find physical evidence that you were the that did it, there's still a chance you can be found guilty, however without that physical evidence it is a lot harder. Most people aren't that good at covering up their tracks though.

If you confessed to a crime, you would be arrested. Then your claim would be investigated whilst you are out on bail (or not). Then if they use your confession to solve the crime you would be charged. Stop being a fucktard, they could totally use what you said to arrest you.
