I kind of agree with you about serious discussions, actually. Every time (or nearly) a serious discussion starts some asspie raging anon always shits up the discussion... there is plenty of shit posting though, the mods are pretty lax about that (as they should be), as long as the shitposts aren't fucking up serious threads.

I think some people just want to notice this moreso than not because they want room to complain. If more people ignored it and carried on then it would just be drowned out. However, I think we have reached a pretty solid middle ground.
