I wanna tell everyone a true story:
I amazed someone the other day. We were standing outside his new house at night, and he was talking about energy efficient windows. I started pointing around the sky, trying to be helpful, explaining that the sun would come up here -that this side of the house would be hit by the sun in the morning- and move across the sky in such a manner... He asked me how I knew this. I pointed to the east and said, "Well, that's east."
After checking the compass on his iPhone, he was astounded that I had such a good sense of direction, but he still looked confused. I shrugged and explained that the sky was clear.
He didn't get it. Orion was just rising in the east and it was pretty obvious where the ecliptic was. I'm so sad humanity has lost this sense of place that seemed to be an innate consequence of our intelligence and a natural consequence of our need to understand our surroundings for thousands of years.

Can't see orion. Can't see shit. The sky is brown and the stars are gone.

You know what it looks like? It looks like man pulled the stars from the sky abd locked them inside streetlamps and buildings. That's what a skyline looks like to me.
