No, I think you're actually quite correct in what you say. It's easy to fall into the "we've had that talk, so I've done my part" philosophy with children.

Children are going to be tempted to think that some ideas (particularly regarding women and sex) are what they are "supposed" to think because of what they hear from their peers, poor adult role models, on TV, on the Internet, etc. Being there to provide continual feedback as they develop is certainly important. You make a good point, and I hope Ks takes it to heart.
