> Do 80% of non-Christians really celebrate this holiday?
That doesn't sound unbelievable. Christmas was bastardized to be Christian, now it's bastardized to be consumerist.
Plus everyone likes presents.

It's also bastardized to be a day of family values and getting together with relatives you may or may not want to be around.

Seeing as India and China hold much of the world's population, I doubt it. Maybe 80% of non-Christians in the western world are forced to "participate" in the holiday by taking off work, etc.

They celebrate Christmas in China and India, don't they?

Of course, everyone celebrates Christmas! The whole world is actually made up of people in denial of Christian holidays, even if they pretend not to be Christian! In China, I hear they "celebrate" by working twice as fast to make plastic toys for Santa to give privileged American children!
