Yes it is, but defects that would otherwise prevent this are irrelevant to the issue at hand. A man who became a 'woman' couldn't give birth, since they were born as man. Therefore they haven't fully, biologically become a woman.

What don't you get about transsexuality being a birth defect? Even if you don't buy the was-always-female thing, just on the mental end, you have to recognize Gender Identity Disorder as one.

Therefore they aren't fully, biologically the opposite gender. Yes they had normal reproduction systems for their gender, but when they transition they still have these, just for the wrong gender.
The 'man' who was pregnant was originally a woman though, so it's no different than if she had banked sperm given birth without transitioning. In fact it's more proof that one can never truly escape their birth gender.
