David foster wallace wrote a character who wanted to grow to garganyuan proportions in his novel, "broom of the system." he was on weight watchers and gained weight, so, he just decided to embrace it and start swallowing whole hams and the like.

He hoped to one day have a gravitational field so strong he would collapse in on himself and form a singularity. I guess we all need goals in life.
