I'm leaning toward deaf, even though I like all of my senses~

Yeah, deaf. I hate blind people.

It would suck to be deaf, but it would suck more to be blind.

Deaf, definitely. The most I'd lose is music, communication is still possible with hand gestures or text.

Not like most people here would lose much of their communication, though. :D

I am deaf, becoming blind would be the worst thing ever. Deafness can pretty much be cured nowadays. Sight, not so much.

You are deaf?

fully deaf?

I have about 10% of a normal hearing range in my left ear, but my right is fully deaf. In 5-10 years, it is predicted that that 10%, too, will leave me. My hearing aid is very helpful, though. It can't make my left ear 100%, but it brings it up to a manageable level, provided I'm standing on the right of someone.

I think I remember this now. In 5-10 years they will have better technology!

I thought I had said it here before, but I wasn't sure if either of you had been here that long.

they already have wetwired implants that replace ears for people who are fully deaf

in 5-10 years this kind of thing will be trivial

do you enjoy music?

This is correct. But I don't like to be modified, so I will refuse such technology.

I do. With my high-power headphones, I am able to hear it with greater clarity than if they were singing to me live. I have more trouble discerning lyrics than others, but I still enjoy it.
