It would be better to find an actual phone call where someone was raped at gunpoint and the officer kept making jokes and snarky comments about rather than helping the girl out.

Yeah, I thought it would have been more impactful if it referenced a date or acquaintance rape situation. But I think you’re way off base to say she’d be taken seriously, or that her being taken seriously would preclude an exchange like this--maybe not when it's reported, but in the investigation, absolutely.
The problem with rape is that the laws themselves are still very problematic in the US. In some states, if she didn’t physically resist - even if a much larger stranger picked her up, carried her off, used a gun, whatever - by law and precedent, there is no rape.
In many jurisdictions, it is required that the prosecution prove how reasonable or honest the victim’s fear was, which often allows the defense a loophole around rape shield laws to bring in her sexual history.
It is the only crime that regularly writes in the victim’s state of mind and necessity of his/her “adequate†response as an element of the crime. Sometimes it has the effect of expanding the definition of rape, but usually it makes it harder to prosecute.

Yeah, but the problem with rape is that often times there is no gun, there is no "kidnapping," there is no witness. It's almost always one person's word against the other, and it's usually someone trusted -not some ally nigger rapist, it's that dude from Psyche who's totally cute and loves to get girls drunk.
It's hard to prosecute because it's super easy to claim. That doesn't mean it didn't happen, but it also doesn't mean it did.

On the other hand, there've been cases where it was considered rape simply because there was "emotional manipulation" that led the 'victim' to give consent under no other threat of harm.
