Nah, you can just start from the beginning of the season. I watched earlier seasons out of order and it wasn't hard to pick up.
They bring up things from the characters' lives that happened in previous seasons, but they're usually explained well. The plot in each season mostly revolves around a particular serial killer that's new to that season.
