the degree of the statutory rape is not the issue, but that the formula allows for it at all

it's supposed to be a formula describing the socially acceptable age difference between couples
but since a subset of the relationships allowed by the formula are illegal (i.e. not socially acceptable) it is clearly flawed

also the formula breaks down when you go below the age of 18
for example the youngest person a 10 year old could date is a 13 year old.

It all depends on where you're at. In New York, 18 is fair game. In Michigan, 16 is fair game. In Hawaii, 14 is fair game.

anything under 18 is not done for me personally, even though local legislation may differ, also you can't marry anyone under 18 without parents permission and apart from muslims i don't think you'll get that, and yes you should marry before having sex -- kissing is ok though

I really depends what you're into. 20+ years is optimal for Daddy/Son or Mommy/Son role play. Same ages is usually more trouble than it's worth, but great for your basic fuck buddy or friends with benefits situation. A 3-7 year age difference seems to offer the best prospects for a long term relationship.
