If the game now has a creative mode. Shouldn't it be more plausible to use that instead and find yourself a nice gamemode switcher and a mod that could allow mod items to appear in creative? Some mod items already do appear there.

Apparently, people don't like being able to move quickly or break blocks at touch. Also creation of adventure maps, since one can't change between creative and survival, and being able to click-remove blocks ruins most adventure maps.

Yes, but TooManyItems was out pre-creative and only needed an update, rather than making a new (though relatively simple, I should think) mod. Also, you can't wear armor in creative mode :(

That is where the switch comes in and wouldn't single player commands be a better option than having two invedits in the game?
