It's ok when its just my parents and me for dinner, but my mom is an alcoholic and my family enables her. She gets drunk. It's always awkward. She called my retarded aunt by the dog's name one year. It's only my uncle, his GF and her mother/brother, my grandmother whos lost it, my parents and my brothers. I have nothing in common with any of them.
Ive skipped out on thanksgiving 2 years running, will again this year, and I'm skipping Christmas again this year. I'll spend both alone. I don't have anyone else. I have no one I really want to spend the time with, and that is depressing.
